Production method of the egg with anti-enterovirus 71 antibody/TLRI

Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is one kind of important human pathogenic virus in Asia-Pacific region. EV71 infection can cause hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) which is following with the central nervous system (CNS) disease, such as the myocarditis and encephalitis. How to treat and prevent the EV71 infection has been an important issue in the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, COA developed the method to produce eggs with anti-EV71 IgY. The immunoglobulins from poultry egg yolk (IgY) have been evaluated in the reagents of diagnostics and therapy of gastrointestinal diseases in recent years. The IgY products have been proved to be more economic, easier in purification steps, higher yields, and non-invasive to animals. This IgY against EV71 is worth to developed into health food and diagnostic reagents. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the industrial value of this technical plat form and its product for further business development.
